You are invited to attend this high-level online discussion being held in collaboration with the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and with the support of Argentina, Belgium and Sierra Leone. Panellists at this event – taking place on the sidelines of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) – will discuss the increasing accountability strategies for child victims of core international crimes. With a view to supporting the ICC to be able to further strengthen and adopt a child-centred approach, this discussion will bring together an esteemed panel of experts, including ICC Prosecutor Karim Asad Ahmad Khan QC and representatives from Member States, the Court and civil society. The expert panellists will reflect on how accountability for crimes against children can be significantly strengthened and how to mitigate current barriers to children accessing justice moving forward.
