To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, JRR is pleased to highlight its new strategic partnership with UN Action Against Sexual Violence in Conflict – a network uniting 27 UN entities around the goal of preventing and addressing sexual violence during and in the wake of war.
Through this innovative collaboration uniting two partners committed to delivering tangible results, meaningful impact and advancing justice processes, a Regional CRSV Coordinator for the Syria response has been deployed from the JRR Roster, after the Network identified a need for capacity mapping to fill gaps and strengthen referral pathways to services for survivors and foster system-wide coherence.
With thanks to the United Kingdom for their generous support at this pivotal moment, the Regional CRSV Coordinator for the Syria response is able to provide strategic analytical and advisory support to strengthen a shared understanding of services available, response capacities, and operational priorities, while reinforcing measures to mitigate the risk of social stigma.
