Justice Rapid Response (JRR) is an association created by an intergovernmental forum in order to provide the international community with a stand-by facility of rapidly deployable criminal justice and related professionals (i.e. experts) to help investigate situations where serious human rights and/or international criminal law violations may have occurred. JRR partners with international, national and civil society actors by providing them with prompt, impartial and professional expertise, tailored to each context, to investigate international crimes and serious human rights violations and to promote the rights and access to justice of victims and survivors.
The JRR Personal Data Protection policy establishes the organisation’s standard on how to protect the privacy of the individuals whose data is processed by JRR.

Personal data protection
As a Swiss Association, JRR’s Personal Data Protection policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Ordinance on Data Protection (ODP).
The personal information we collect can only be used for informed/ agreed specific and predetermined purposes. The personal information can only be used for the purpose it was originally collected for.
We will ensure that the amount of personal data collected is absolute minimum. Only data necessary for the specific purpose can be processed.
JRR shall ensure safe storage of personal data. Personal data processed by, or on behalf of JRR, shall be kept safe from unauthorized access, loss and unintended disclosure, changes or deletion.
JRR shall only keep personal data for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose, requirements by donors or public authority, and for a maximum of up to 10 years (or a longer duration if mandated by law) after which consent will be obtained to keep the personal data longer if there is no ongoing engagement with the data subject.
Right of opposition and withdrawal

Right to withdraw consent
The data subject has the right to withdraw his or her consent for the processing of his or her Personal Data which is based on consent.
