Justice Rapid Response thanks the following contributing States and entities for their support without which we could not fulfill our mission of ensuring that all victims and survivors of international crimes and human rights violations have access to justice, contributing to peaceful and inclusive societies.
JRR receives core funding to maintain our stand-by capacity and continuously refine the expertise available on our roster of justice and human rights experts. We also receive project funding for specific country situations, and for thematic-focus and policy work. JRR also has a dedicated fund – the Rapid Response Fund (see below)- to deploy prompt, impartial and professional experts to address emerging human rights crisis. The Rapid Response Fund is Justice Rapid Response’s most flexible funding mechanism to deploy prompt, impartial and professional expertise to support justice and accountability processes worldwide.
The Fund allows JRR to complete expert deployments that are:
- urgent in nature;
- further credible accountability processes if provided in a timely manner;
- significantly limit the adverse effects of delayed support;
- or when there is a high likelihood of third party funding becoming available at a later stage to help secure the completion of the deployment.
